Guy Harvey-Samuel is the Chief Executive Officer of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Singapore.
Guy started his banking career in 1976 in a small City based bank in the UK. He joined HSBC as an International Officer in 1979 and has since worked in 12 different countries across the world. Guy’s various postings have seen him take on senior management roles including State Manager Victoria in Australia; CEO of HSBC Armenia; Area Director City of London; General Manager Midlands, and Head of Personal Financial Services Europe & the Middle East. The last three roles were based in the UK.
Guy has also spent a considerable part of his career with HSBC in Asia, performing roles in treasury, securities and operations in Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Middle East.
In his previous role as Head of Personal Financial Services Europe & the Middle East, Guy was responsible for bringing increased focus and growth to the HSBC Group’s Personal Financial Services businesses in continental Europe and the Middle East.
He has also worked closely with the regional Personal Financial Services Heads in Asia Pacific and the Americas to deliver the Personal Financial Services element of the Group’s global strategy: Managing for Growth.

Jacob Hoare

Jacob has over 10 years of fixed income experience, principally in the credit markets. George Sun is Managing Director and Head of Global Credit Products Sales for Lehman Brothers in Asia ex-Japan. Mr. Sun heads up a team that is responsible for the distribution of all credit products including money markets, high grade credit, high yield credit, loans, private placements, structured credit, CDOs, and emerging market assets. Previously, Mr. Sun was head of Structured Credit Products for Bear Stearns in Asia. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director in Global Structured Credit Products, Fixed Income, for Merrill Lynch covering all markets in Asia. Before moving back to Asia, Mr. Sun was a Senior Director in the Structured Finance Department for Standard & Poor, serving in both its New York and London offices, and was a member of the management team in the ratings firm Global CDO Group. Mr. Sun holds an Economics degree from Harvard University, where he also taught an undergraduate Economics course, and he holds a Law degree from Harvard Law School.

Patrick Kaye

Patrick Kaye is a Senior Vice President, responsible for Lehman Brothers’ Principal and Structured Finance practice in non-Japan Asia. He and the group arrange securitization financings on behalf of clients as well as asset-based principal investments on behalf of the Firm. Mr. Kaye joined Lehman Brothers in 1997 and has been based in Asia since late 2000. He has a total of more than 14 years of experience in the field of structured finance.
Mr. Kaye and his team have participated in transactions and advisory engagements relating to a number of asset classes, including residential mortgages, commercial real estate and non-performing assets. The team has been active in many different jurisdictions within the region, including Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia. Mr. Kaye plays a leading role in developing Lehman’s residential mortgage origination program in Asia, which will rely principally on capital markets securitization financing. Mr. Kaye initiated the Firm’s entry into the Korean mortgage market by way of its new subsidiary, Korea Central Mortgage Inc. He now serves as a Director of KCMI and is responsible for implementing KCMI’s mortgage securitization program.
Mr. Kaye holds a BA in History and Philosophy from Duke University and an MBA with Honors in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Brian Lancaster

Brian P. Lancaster joined Wachovia Securities as Managing Director, Senior Real Estate Strategist and Head of CMBS Research in July 2001, and is now Head of the 18 member Structured Products Research team.
Before joining Wachovia Securities, Lancaster was a Managing Director (Principal) in Structured Products at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. from 1990 to 2001. From 1987 to 1990, he was a Vice- President in New Financial Products and Engineering at Chemical Securities Inc., and from 1984 to 1987 he was a Senior Capital Markets Economist at both the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Bank of England in London. From 1996 to 1999, Lancaster served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance in Columbia University’s MBA program where he taught courses on the bond and derivative markets. Currently he periodically lectures at Harvard, Wharton, and New York University business schools. Lancaster was voted to Institutional Investor’s All-America Fixed-Income Research Team in 2001, 2000, and 1999, and was voted best CMBS Analyst of the Year in 2003 by Real Estate Finance & Investment, an Institutional Investor publication. In 2006, National Real Estate Investor (NREI) magazine named Lancaster a "CMBS Pioneer" and one of "Ten to Watch" in real estate. The annual top ten list of real estate leaders includes brokers, developers and finance professionals who are shaping the future of the commercial real estate markets. In 2006, Lancaster was awarded the CMSA/CMBS World annual best research report award for his report, Understanding Commercial Real Estate CDOs, an award he also received in 1999. Lancaster is also Vice Chairman of the Global Commercial Real Estate Advisory Council and a Governor of the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board the Mortgage Bankers Association where he consults periodically with Chairman Bernanke and the Federal Reserve Board.
Lancaster holds an MBA from New York University, a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, where he was selected as an International Fellow, and a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been a contributing author to numerous books and reports in English, German, French, and Chinese on the bond, structured product, and real estate markets as well as the co-author of Collateralized Debt Obligations: Structures and Strategies. His forthcoming book Structured Products and Related Credit Derivatives, co-edited with Glenn Schultz and Frank Fabozzi, Wiley Publications, will be in bookstores this April. He has also published numerous articles in professional journals including the Journal of Fixed Income Securities, The Financier, The Securitization Conduit, Journal of Housing Finance, Journal of Real Estate Finance, and CMBS World, where he is a managing editor.

Glen McDermott

Glen McDermott is a Managing Director and Head of SCP Distribution, Asia-Pacific for Wachovia Securities. Glen works with Wachovia's Asian-Pacific sales force to optimize its multiple distribution channels, and he is responsible for implementing an overall marketing strategy to maximize sales of SCP products into Asia-Pacific, including Australia and Japan. In this role he also partners with other members of Wachovia's Asia -Pacific team on local markets origination and principal activities.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Glen was a salesperson in the Structured Credit SalesGroup at Citigroup Global Markets, Inc., where he sold credit derivatives and CDOs to a wide array of institutional fixed income clients. Previously, Glen wasa highly ranked research analyst and Global Head of CDO Research and Strategy (2000 - 2005) where he led a five-person team dedicated to analyzing a multitude of structured credit products, both cash and synthetic. Before Citigroup, Glen worked for six years (1994-2000) at Standard & Poor's Ratings Services where he analyzed many structured finance asset classes. Glen's work has been published in numerous scholarly journals, including The Journal of Portfolio Management and The Journal of Fixed Income. He has over nine years experience in credit and financial analysis in Asia before being promoted to London in 2007 as Global Head of Structuring.
Born in France in 1974, Pierre has an engineer background with a degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris. He completed his financial expertise with a Master of Probability and Finance at University Paris VI.

Marjan van der Weijden is a managing director in Fitch Ratings’ structured finance group. She is head of the structured finance team in Asia-Pacific and is based in Singapore. He worked in Tokyo from 1996-2000.

Ibrahima Kobar is Director of Fixed Income and Structured Credit at Natixis Asset Management. He joined Natixis Asset Management in 1994 as a Portfolio Manager in the Insurance Management team of the Euro Fixed Income department. In 1998 he was made head of Insurance Management activities, specifically Assets and Liabilities Management, structured products and derivatives.
It is within this department that Mr. Kobar initiated the CDO activity for the company, entering the market as an investor within its insurance mandates in 2000. In 2002, as the team mastered the market as CDO investors, the move to CDO management was just a step away, a step taken with the launch of Natixis Asset Management’s first CDO, a full capital structure named Callisto II.
Today, the CDO team of Natixis Asset Management is composed of 35 talented dedicated professionals. As of December 31, 2007, the team manages over USD 5.5 billion issued through 25 public and bespoke CDOs, 2 CPPIs and one CPDO on behalf of a sophisticated institutional clientele located in 34 countries around the world.

Ahmet is a Managing Director and the Global Head of the Quantitative Analytics and Advisory Team, at Fitch Solutions. His role involves research on credit markets, risk assessment and pricing at instrument and portfolio levels and innovation.
Ahmet has extensive experience in corporate credit evaluation as well as ABS, CMBS, RMBS, and Credit Derivatives. Prior to the formation of Fitch Solutions in 2008 he was heading the Quantitative Financial Research team at Fitch Ratings, which provided the analytics and modeling tools for the Rating Analysts for their risk assessments. His role involved assessment and research on areas and enhancement of existing models and methodologies. He also initiated and has been co-managing the Fitch-wide academic advisory committee.
Ahmet was earlier Senior Director of Moody's KMV where his responsibilities have included being in charge of the Default Risk Group and being the Developer and Leader of Moody's RiskCalc Suite of Default Probability Models for North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Latin America and the rest of the world. Prior to 2000, he was an Assistant Professor with The Pennsylvania State University, a Research Assistant with the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a Research Assistant with Columbia University - Center for the Study of Futures Markets.
He is a referee for several prominent industry journals, such as Journal of Credit Risk, Journal of Investment Management, and is also a program committee member of the JOIM.

Originally from New Zealand, Alistair moved to London in 1989 to join Goldman Sachs as Associate Director, where he gained specialist experience in mortgage-backed securitisation and subsequently became Director, Principal Finance Group (PFG) at Nomura International plc. As one of the founding members of PFG, he was involved in a team that expanded Nomura's assets by over $UK10 billion and defined PFG as a highly profitable investment banking sector.
It was here that Alistair's knowledge of non-conforming residential lending was developed, being directly involved in establishing one of the UK's leading non-conforming mortgage lender. He was responsible for overseeing the origination company, and managing the restructuring and execution of the securitisation of mortgages.
Alistair's return to Australia was stimulated by his intention to apply his specialist financial knowledge and skills to opportunities in the region. After undertaking over a year of research he concluded that there was an opportunity to develop a respected and dynamic specialist mortgage lender in the Australian marketplace.
